Secluded but far from reclusive, this elegant villa is stepped into the hillside above St. Stephano, quietly cushioned among mature trees, yet within easy reach of the pretty harbour village below. From its curtained and colonnaded terraces to its mosaic infinity pool and Jacuzzi, there’s an almost theatrical style to this rather swish villa, where wrought iron and rich deep colours create a different mood in every room. Air-conditioned throughout, the villa’s open-plan kitchen/dining room is on a raised level with doors to an al fresco sitting room terrace.
Below, at either side of the swimming pool, a twin and a double room are each privately accessed only from the garden, and on the lower ground floor the villa’s spa has a sauna, Turkish bath and massage bed, where in-villa treatments can be arranged locally. The top floor of the house is shared by a study and the master suite, which opens on to a balcony with blissful views; while outside, paved paths lead through lawned gardens to a dining area under the trees. The shops, beach and harbour-front tavernas of St Stephano are a short drive away.
