St Stephano, with its enchanting harbour dotted with sailing boats, is one of the prettiest places on Corfu’s north east coast, and from the broad terraces of this impressive house you may enjoy one of the loveliest views of the little village in its incomparable setting. Nepenthe is one of several villas scattered amongst the olive groves along the hillside overlooking St Stephano accessed by a fairly steep driveway. Bathed in sunshine all day (early risers will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of dawn breaking over the mainland!) its terraces are comfortably furnished for the enjoyment of outdoor life. A spacious living room opens on to a wide covered terrace overlooking the pretty tiled swimming pool, appropriately decorated with a dolphin motif. The interiors are decorated in pale, understated tones, in a spacious and uncluttered house, cooled throughout by ceiling fans. At night, the twinkling lights of the St Stephano waterfront are a beacon to the undeniable pleasures of a relaxed drink or harbourside meal.
