The Great House

Huge gardens, peppered with soaring palms, hem ninety metres of soft West Coast sands, the long lawns surrounding a cool ten metre swimming pool, a children’s splash pool and a Jacuzzi. In a very private and exclusive setting, the traditional plantation house, with its shaded verandas and shuttered windows, is furnished in a style of effortless elegance entirely in harmony with its relaxed and relaxing atmosphere. Here is a house that doesn’t stand on ceremony, though its full team of staff create the perfect ambiance for a wedding ceremony and its celebratory party.
The layout, too, is good for family gatherings or large groups of friends, with four bedrooms in the main house and four in individual Chattel Cottages in the grounds. With a grand Palladian portico, and a grand piano in the music room, the house has several sitting and dining areas, inside and out. A paved path through the gardens leads straight to the sea, where water sports await with a thirty foot speedboat and Hobie and Sunfish sailboats. And all this is just a five minute drive from Speightstown.
