At ground floor level the spacious reception rooms have been decorated with colour washed walls, and an eclectic mix of contemporary and period prints and paintings. The sofas and chairs are upholstered with contemporary fabrics in warm rich colours, yellows, greens and reds. French windows lead out from the dining room to a vine-covered pergola, an ideal dining spot to enjoy delicious local specialities.
Stairs lead up to the first floor with a large blue master bedroom suite with bateau lit bed, sitting area with fireplace, sofa, elegant chairs, and modern drawings and paintings. The other bedrooms are also decorated in this welcoming country style with colour washed walls in rich shades, smart contemporary fabrics and books and ceramics which lend a personal touch.
Villa Rugano is surrounded by magnificent mature gardens of wisteria, colourful geraniums, lemons in terracotta pots, towering cypress and other mature trees.
A pathway leads down to the pool terrace which is set amongst silvery olive trees just below the house. The mosaic tiled pool with steps, and ample sun furniture is set into a paved terrace bordered with pink hibiscus, colourful geraniums in terracotta pots and large oleanders.
From every vantage point there are magnificent views through the olive groves to the countryside below.
