A gorgeous combination of rustic chic, barefoot luxury, Caribbean style and Mediterranean colour, this unique hotel has just sixteen cottage suites, and a tropically tranquil atmosphere. Brightly painted in jaunty purple, green and yellow, the cottages form a rainbow of colour running down the hillside to the sparkling sea and sands, where an open-sided pavilion houses a well-placed bar. In a design style influenced by Laluna’s Italian owner, each cottage suite is romantically furnished with a muslin-draped four poster bed and has a partial outdoor bathroom, and a covered veranda with a Balinese daybed and a private plunge pool.
A sixteen metre infinity pool forms a focal point in the grounds, the al fresco restaurant serves Italian and local cuisine, and the thatch-roofed Sunset Bar epitomises the laid-back tempo of this lovely place, though this could be enhanced with an in-suite massage from the hotel’s holistic spa. Positioned to enjoy the views of the moon on the water, the hotel is a ten minute drive from the golf course and fifteen minutes from St George’s.
