A long search for the perfect place brought Rolling Surf’s owners to this fabulous spot to build their family villa. In Grenada, beachfront homes are few and far between. This one is so close to the sea that its twelve metre infinity pool seems part of the blue beyond, and dining on the covered veranda is as cool and fresh as a ship’s deck. Carefully designed to maximise space, comfort and style, the villa combines contemporary chic with island simplicity. Its four spacious bedrooms include two which open on to the poolside terrace, and a delightful master (or ‘bridal’) suite complete with four poster bed, whirlpool bath and its own private veranda.
In the open-plan living area, an island breakfast bar is a social space in the state-of-the-art kitchen, and a full wall of folding doors opens the sitting/dining room to the seafront veranda and sumptuous views. Beneath it is a fitness and TV room and a private platform just above the shallows of Prickly Bay. A leisurely stroll along the beach, the Calabash Hotel offers tennis courts and discounted dining in its beach bar/restaurant.
