The Caves

Voted one of the world’s best boutique escapes, The Caves is rustic chic and truly unique. Its husband and wife design team, Greer-Ann and Bertram Saulter, have created an enchanting enclave in their two seafront acres, where stone pathways twist past the swimming pool and secluded sundecks, to a convivial bar and atmospheric Aveda mini-spa. A cave is home to a hot tub, another to a cigar-bar, and two grottos in the cliff face are lit with candles, strewn with flowers and designed for private dining.  Steps, carved into the rocks, descend to clear waters superb for snorkelling, with kayaks and rafts to make the most of the brilliant turquoise sea.
And thatch-roofed stone and timber cottages are individually styled and embellished with the work of local artists. Sprinkled in lush gardens, all have an en suite shower room, some feature outdoor showers, and the villa has the luxury of its own private pool. A five minute drive from Negril, The Caves combines beautifully with Jamaica Inn and/or Strawberry Hill for a tailor-made taste of Jamaica off the beaten track.
